Like many artists I am fascinated by the hand. Thought of the famous hand of David. In this image, the hand comes to life, it is as detached from the body. It is hard, it grabs, she takes, it is old and without mercy! The head was guillotined, only this awful  awful life. She scares.

Comme plusieurs artistes je suis fasciné par la main. Pensé à la fameuse main du David. Dans cette image, la main prend vie, elle est comme détachée du corps. Elle est dure, elle agrippe, elle prend, elle est vieille et sans pitié ! La tête fut guillotiné, seul cette main affreuse vie. Elle fait peur.

This image is one of the most personal of this blog. I am Frenck-Canadian like him, my parents were devout Catholic even bigot, and I dreamed to escape from their world which stifled me and “On the Road”.

The United States attracted me like a magnet. My heart swung between New York depraved and gay of Andy Warhol and the desert vastness of the West. It was neither one nor the other for better and for worse.

Cette image est l’une des plus personnelles de ce blog. Je suis Canadien-Français comme lui, mes parents étaient de fervents catholiques à la limite bigot, et je ne rêvais que de m’échapper de leur monde qui m’étouffait et d’aller sur les routes, « On the Road ».

Les Etats-Unis m’attiraient comme un aimant. Mon cœur balançait entre le New York dépravé et homosexuel d’Andy Warhol et les immensités désertiques de l’ouest. Ce ne fût ni l’un ni l’autre pour le meilleur et pour le pire.

Those who have seen the movie “Duel” cannot forget it. We cannot forget the angry sound of the tank truck, shots of his black face and the infernal relationship between an insignificant car and this black monster.

Ceux qui ont vu le film “Duel” ne peuvent l’oublier. On ne peut oublier le son enragé du camion-citerne, les prises de vue de sa face noire, et de la relation infernale qui s’établit entre une insignifiante voiture et ce monstre noir.
